The Index of Undergraduate Theses and Design Project in the Library of the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico 1976-1995 is a guide to the work presented by undergraduate students of the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico (PUPR), San Juan Campus as a requirement for their degree. The purpose is to collect, disseminate and provide access to these works and expand the availability of resources for the study and research of the academic and scientific community.

The index can be accessed by author, year, study program and subject according to the Subjects Heading of ​​the Library of Congress. Microsoft Access 2013 was used to create the database to organize the information.

Theses and design projects from 1976 to 1995 are available in paper/print format in the General Collection at the reference area of the Library (the “Sala de Investigaciones” in the 2nd floor). The Index of Graduate Theses and Design Project in the Library of the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico 2001-2016 is a guide to the work presented by graduate students of the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico (PUPR), San Juan Campus as a requirement for their degree. The purpose is to collect, disseminate and provide access to these works and expand the availability of resources for the study and research of the academic and scientific community. The index can be accessed by author, year, study program and subject according to the Subjects Heading of the Library of Congress. Microsoft Access 2013 was used to create the database to organize the information. Theses and design projects from 2001 to 2009 are available in paper/print format in the Collection of Rare Books at the reference area of the Library (the “Sala de Investigaciones” in the 2nd floor). From 2010 onwards, works are available online in full text PDF accessing the “PROQUEST – DISSERTATION & THESIS @ UNIVERSIDAD POLITÉCNICA DE PUERTO RICO” database at the Library databases webpage: https://static.pupr.edu/resources2/database-list.html . RECONOCIMIENTO ANTONIO TARDÍ

 

El pasado 15 de mayo se celebró la inauguración de la Biblioteca Escolar “Antonio Tardi Galarza” de la Escuela de la Comunidad Carmen L. Espada del barrio Rancheras en Yauco. El Director y el Consejo Escolar acordaron reconocer el trabajo voluntario del compañero bibliotecario, designando con su nombre la primera biblioteca que tiene este plantel.
Antonio, desde hace más de once años, es un valioso miembro de nuestro equipo de trabajo. Egresado del programa de Ingeniería Civil y del de MEM de esta Universidad, completa esta semana un grado de Maestría en Ciencias y Tecnologías de la Información de la Universidad de Puerto Rico.
Desde 2003 ha estado poco a poco colaborando de manera voluntaria con esta comunidad rural para desarrollar una biblioteca escolar. Lo ha hecho solicitando donaciones, asesorando y hasta comprando libros y equipo con su dinero.
En una ceremonia sencilla, pero formal y ante la presencia de funcionarios y directores del Departamento de Educación de la Región de Yauco, facultad, padres, estudiantes y su familia, vio el fruto de su esfuerzo cuando, luego del corte de cinta, los niños llenaron el salón jubilosos con su biblioteca.
Los compañeros de la Biblioteca dela Universidad Politécnica felicitamos a Antonio por este reconocimiento.
